Season three of "Warehouse 13" ended with some pretty devastating actions. Seriously, people left the show, at least one large building (some may call it a 'warehouse') was apparently destroyed, and consequently the show may change somewhat now. Several other Syfy series have greatly changed directions from one season to the next ("Eureka," "Battlestar Galactica") and that may just be what is happening here. Of course, we do kind of still figure that these folks are still going to be going after odd artifacts and using funny colored goo.

Plus, Brent Spiner guest stars tonight.

Next year, "Warehouse 13" will return for an abbreviated, six episode, season. That season, the show's fifth, will be the last one we'll get. Let us not worry about what that final season looks like, at least not until after tonight's episode. We imagine that the present season will end with a cliffhanger episode and then , who knows, maybe they'll extend whatever that cliffhanger is into the overarching season five storyline. However they decide to go, the truth is this, the days of purple goo are nearly complete. Enjoy them while they last.

You may find it slightly odd to hear that this is the 'fourth season spring premiere' what with the last new episode having aired back in October of last year and the fourth season actually having started at the end of last July, but that's exactly what this is. Yes, this is a continuation of that very same season of "Warehouse 13" despite it having been off the air for something like the amount of time it takes for a baby to be born. Think of this like that -- the series has been gestating and now it is ready to emerge, fully realized and totally able to wake you up 12 times in the middle of the night for food and/or diaper changes.

As is now the standard for oh-so-much of the cable industry, "Warehouse 13" is splitting its season into two pieces. The first half of that season ends tonight with a little thing we like to call the 10th episode of season four. You might refer to it as exactly the ending of the first half of the 20 episode season, but to us it will always be the 10th episode of season four. And, with any luck, it will feature purple goo. We love the purple goo and we have a sneaking suspicion that the actors on the series do as well. How could they not? It looks messy and kind of smelly.

As season three of this series comes to an end there is one important thing you have to keep telling yourself -- "Warehouse 13" has already been renewed for season four. Yes, there have been instances in the past where a show has been renewed for a new season and then unrenewed, but we don't imagine that's going to happen here. We fully believe that the kooks who inhabit Warehouse 13 on "Warehouse 13" will be back next summer with more goo, more dastardly plots which need to be defeated, and more wisecracking. What would this series be without the wisecracking? We need the wisecracking.

Airing immediately after the "Eureka" Christmas special we're getting this "Warehouse 13" one. As that show revolves so heavily around artifacts of immense power that are, or need to be, in the Warehouse, we're going to assume that the episode will feature a Christmas artifact. Perhaps Santa's sleigh is enchanted, or his suit, or his bag of toys. Maybe the whole North Pole is enchanted and an artifact in the Warehouse (that place is huge, why couldn't the Pole be in there, or at least Santa's workshop?). There are so many possible choices here. Maybe the artifact will be a bowl full of jelly. Yup, that would be our favorite.

Last season on "Warehouse 13" there were all these crazy enchanted artifacts that had weird powers. There were bad guys trying to break into the warehouse, an enemy from days gone by, and a whole bunch of other bits of fun foolishness. We expect the new season to bring more of the same, except for the new agents. Last season we got new agents and those agents are the stars of the show so we don't believe that there will be another set of new agents. That is, unless, they're one episode guest stars who either quickly turn evil or decide that they're in over their heads.
