The course of true love, or even just life in general, never did run smooth. You would think that it would be easier to run a thriving gigolo business, but watching "Hung," it seems as though that's simply not the case. Frankly, with next year being an election year, we're tempted to blame all the problems on government interference. If only what Ray was doing here was legal, sure he would have an easy time of it. But, it isn't, he doesn't, and we get to have fun watching him struggle with this sideline profession. Maybe he'll get it all straightened out tonight as this is the season finale, but we kind of doubt it.

Do you remember this series? It's the one where the guy with ample manhood opts to become a gigolo to help pay the bills when his house gets destroyed. You could call it a comedy, you could call it a drama, you could call it a slice out of your own life. What we're going to tell you about it is that it stars Thomas Jane as the man in question who, despite all his efforts and all his energy, still finds it difficult to make ends meet and make his dreams come true. Now that, folks, truly is a slice of life (most particularly ours).

It hasn't really been the easiest of seasons for Ray Drecker, has it? It's not that he has more issues than most, it's just his issues are presented on cable television on a weekly basis and therefore seem that much more important than those the rest of us face. That being said, we'd prefer not to have to walk a mile in Ray's shoes, especially if it would require us stripping as we walked - we like the idea of heading into that lake, but the stripping before we got there would make us distinctly uncomfortable.

Last season, when faced with a major financial crisis, Ray Drecker opted to put himself on the market. Drecker, who is what is often referred to as 'well endowed,' chose to go the gigolo route (his pay as a high school basketball coach wasn't quite enough). With the help of a new friend, Tanya, Ray was just beginning to work out the right way to pursue his second job as the season ended. With any luck that means that by the opening of season two he is now the best paid gigolo in all of Detroit (maybe he'll even have signed a movie contract).
