Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular
As is tradition, CBS is celebrating the 4th of July in Boston, with the Boston Pops. Expect to see fireworks and music and singing and fun. Plus, if you've already seen the fireworks in New York, you can expect to be a little disappointed. Or, maybe not. Maybe Boston, land of patriots, will prove to have the better Fourth of July festivities. We simply don't know, but we can thank CBS for, annually, airing this special after the one on some other network with the New York fireworks so that we can see both sets.

There are certain things which just go hand-in-hand: overeating for the Super Bowl, burgers with beer, turducken for Christmas (seriously people you have to do this), Punkin Chunkin' on Thanksgiving, and fireworks on the Fourth of July. The Boston Pops have been celebrating the Fourth for a number of years and it's been on TV for quite a while as well. Tune in tonight, hear some great music, and watch a pretty spectacular "Fireworks Spectacular." Michael Chiklis hosts and Jennifer Hudson will perform.

With New York covered on NBC and Washington DC covered on PBS, CBS gets to air Fourth of July coverage from Boston, Massachusetts. Many out there will point out to you just what an important place Boston played in our revolution and those people would be absolutely correct. Please don't let anyone out there convince any of you Boston fans of the decreased importance the city may or may not currently play within our nation. This is the Boston Pops celebrating the Fourth of July, and if that isn't a tradition worth celebrating we don't know what is.

As we are quite sure that you watched the PBS special on the Boston Pops a few weeks back we will not delve into the group's history herein. Suffice to say that the Pops are an American tradition, and this year they will again be celebrating the 4th of July - America's Holiday - on CBS. Craig Ferguson is going to return to host the show, just as he hosted the aforementioned PBS special. Clearly, the man is a fan of the Pops and really, you ought to be as well. Watch and celebrate the 4th with "America's Orchestra."
