You may say it's a cliche, but if there's one thing that we can expect from "House" it's the unexpected. Wow, after saying it, we can't help but apologize, that was a complete cliche and perhaps something we should have avoided. The other problem with the statement is that it's untrue - we can definitely expect House to be angry, mean, and do what he wants when he wants the way he wants. Except of course if he's going after Cuddy in which case he may show some humanity. Also, there'll be some sort of crazy medical case tonight. We guarantee you that.

The series "House" has been something of a phenomenon. At the show's center is this curmudgeonly, horrible American played by a lovable Brit. This hateful, spiteful, thoroughly rotten individual has saved countless lives and become incredibly loved by those who watch him. Tonight, after eight seasons of venom and brilliance, the show is ending, and we will all be a little less rich for that.
We are getting a one-hour retrospective tonight at 8 followed by the series finale at 9.

This, as they say, is it. "House" has a 22 episode order for this year, the show's final year, and we're starting the run of the final eight episodes tonight. By 10pm (ET/PT) on May 21, the series will be but a memory. Has the show had better days? Perhaps, but you know that at some point through the series' eight seasons you've watched it and loved it. You ought to be there for the swan song, just as the relatives are sometimes there when it looks like the patient isn't going to make it before House comes up with his brilliant diagnosis. Sadly though, there is almost certainly no way for the doctor to save his show (ironic, no?).

Do you want to know how to tell that February is coming to an end? Just look at the television schedule -- tons of shows are announcing that they are about to air/have aired their last new episode until April. Tonight it is this series' turn to do that. The episode of "House" tonight is called 'Love is Blind,' and it will feature a cranky doctor who is unable to diagnose a patient until he nearly kills the poor individual. At that time the cranky doctor will probably work things out and safe the patient's life, but maybe not. It's a mystery! It is also, as we noted, the last new episode for a while. And, as you know, the show ends forever in May.

"House" is returning with its winter premiere and we just want to remind you of one thing -- everybody lies. Well, everybody except us. To tell it like it is, "House" may not be the show it once was, there may have been a number of mistakes made on the series through the series, but they still turn out some really good episodes. With this being the mid-season premiere, we're hoping that they've pulled no punches, pulled out all the stops, and aren't pulling our leg (okay, we needed a third one to make it sound right and we weren't sure how to get there). See what dreaded disease House treats tonight and how his personal life is still a mess.

As you may have realized, FOX is finishing up their fall run of shows. Tonight we're getting the fall finale for "House." We don't want to give too much away about the episode, but we do feel safe in telling you this -- there's going to be a patient and the patient is going to be sick. No one is going to know whats wrong with the guy but that won't stop the team from running a whole bunch of tests and trying several different dangerous and experimental treatment options. You'll actually be shocked -- House will propose doing things which no sane doctor would do and yet one of them just may work.
Did we give away too much?

Jamie Bamber is on "House" as the sickie of the week tonight (House himself regularly being the sicko of the week). Sadly for Bamber, or Apollo as we like to call him, whatever his mysterious illness may be, it is totally going to prevent him from taking off in any scrambling Raptors this week. We know, we know, he resigned his commission to be a politician, but we really disagree with that decision and consequently refuse to acknowledge it. He may not have a Battlestar to command, but he's still a pilot. This week, he'll just be piloting one of those slick hospital beds and not a spaceship.

After some down-to-the-wire negotiations between the network and the studio and the studio and some of the major players, "House" will be returning for a new season, but it seems not with Lisa Edelstein. Omar Epps and Robert Sean Leonard were able to come to an agreement with the studio, but not Edelstein. The series has jettisoned characters in the past, but it seems hard to imagine where the show will go without Cuddy as House's boss. After a long summer, it's finally time to see what they've come up with.

What can we tell you about this season of "House" that you don't already know? You're probably aware that many would call it uneven at best and downright disappointing at worst. You're probably also aware that many would suggest that the House-Cuddy relationship was handled in a way that was also rather disappointing. On the plus side there's the fact that Hugh Laurie still manages to make the role a lively one and never slips back into his British accent (which we're always kind of hoping for). Well, even if that info isn't new, it's probably not bad to have as you head into the season finale.

You might think that they'd bring 13 back for episode 169, maybe with some sort of an evil twin along for the ride, and while that may happen, she's actually first returning tonight for episode 150. That's probably a pretty good choice too and the episode is sure to be a big one, but there's something really great about the idea of doing it for episode 169 and having 13 squared. We can't quite imagine what it would be, why that idea would seem so good to us, but it does. We'll see if that happens next season, and for now we'll watch big old episode 150.

Jennifer Grey! Yes, you might be able to see her on "Dancing with the Stars" tonight (we haven't been following the show this season so we don't if she's been booted off or not), but there she's playing herself and here she's not. Here she's playing the mother of a baby who is quite ill. Yes, she may have actually had to do such a thing in her real life, but she probably never had to deal with a guy like House in that real life. Watch how her character interacts with the rather rude doctor this evening and see if it isn't potentially more fun than watching her dance, we think it just might be.

Hugh Laurie, he's a renaissance man. He sings, he (may) dance, he acts, he directs, and though he isn't a doctor, he does play on one TV. Tonight he'll be doing at least three of the above in a single episode of "House." Laurie will of course be playing House, which means he'll be both acting and playing a doctor on TV, but he'll also be directing the episode. Oh yes, it's true. And, as if that wasn't enough to look forward to on the episode, David Strathairn will be guest starring. Big night people, it's going to be a big night as the hospital goes into lockdown.

House's (Hugh Laurie) new and yet not quite new team help out Wilson (Robert Seasn Leonard) as an old friend (Joshua Malina) and one-time patient of his returns with a new and (shockingly) unknown illness. Will House and company be able to save Wilson's friend in time, and will Wilson be able to separate what may be best for the patient from what he would want for his friend. This last qustion, always a tricky one for a doctor to answer, will certainly cause Wilson no small amount of distress. Plus, let's not forget, House's methodology isn't always the greatest, and when it's Wilson's friend having the problems, Wilson may have an even more difficult time watching House try every treatment under the sun.

It's been a long third of a season coming, but House is finally relicensed tonight and back in control of his team, his original team. Of course, House is never happy leaving well enough alone and he kind of wants to form some sort of "dream team" now. What sort of new forms of torture will he unleash on his minions now that he's back in charge? Will he have enough time to treat adult film star Hank Hardwick (Troy Garity)? We're betting that House will have some sort of last second revelation about Hardwick's disease, saving his life just in time.

"House" returns for an all-new episode after last week's two hour premiere.
Sep 21, 2009TV Network - FOX
"House" returns for its sixth season with a two hour premiere. Last season ended with the audience realizing House and Cuddy never really got together and that it was part House's hallucinations. House also checked himself into a mental institution, and in a rare happy ending for this series, Chase and Cameron finally got married.

It's season finale time for TV's favorite crotchety, hallucination-prone doctor.
The finale picks up in the aftermath of last week's enhanced intimacies between House and Cuddy, an event that won't be forgotten.
But don't worry. There are still patients, including Scott (Ashton Holmes), a man whose left brain and right brain operate independently, leaving him with two distinct personalities and no control over some of his actions.
Also guest starring is comedy legend Carl Reiner.

We don't want to spoil anything for you DVR users who have managed to isolate yourself entirely from the world, but something really major happened on "House" last week. Something more major than the usual "It's not lupus!" diagnosis drama.
So we're interested to see how the FOX medical show follows up on last week's shocker, whether the ripple effect continues or whether it's mostly forgotten.
Titled "Saviors," the episode's main case finds House and the gang trying to figure out what's wrong with an activist who passes out at a rally. Somehow, Jennifer Morrison's Cameron seems to play a major role.

In the episode titled "Here Kitty," House's new patient (guest star Judy Greer) is convinced that here cat has the ability to predict when people are going to die. That's pretty cool, but not when the kitty seems to be saying that you've got an upcoming visit from the Grim Reaper.
Somehow, we suspect that "House" will be skeptical of the cat's diagnostic ability.
We also suspect that at least at first, the cat will seem like a surprisingly reliable harbinger of doom. But why?
Probably the answer isn't lupus.

It's another time slot for FOX's Emmy-winning medical drama "House," now moved to Mondays at 8 p.m.
When we left Hugh Laurie's Dr. House in December, Cuddy was getting a baby, 13 and Foreman were making out and Chase and Cameron were still being totally wasted.
Who knows what January will bring!
The only thing that's for sure is that it probably won't be lupus.
