Lie to Me
Jan 31, 2011TV Network - FOX
Let us discuss truth for a moment, shall we. The truth is that it certainly seems highly unlikely that "Lie to Me" will be airing 22 episodes for its third season. We have reached this conclusion due to the fact that this is episode 13 and that reaches the current episode order for the series from FOX. Is it possible that they'll order a whole bunch of new episodes for the summer? Yes, it could happen. But the truth is that for the time being, this is all we can expect to get with any certainty so drink it in while you can.

Tell us lies, tell us lies, tell us sweet little lies (tell us lies). It's a song, Fleetwood Mac, none of the other words are coming back (coming back). Okay, seriously though, "Lie to Me" is returning with some new episodes, which means that their search for the truth (which, we've been promised, "is out there") can continue. What does the summer have in store for Dr. Cal Lightman and his crack squad of truth finder-outers? You'll never get that information out of us, never! It doesn't matter how long you search our faces for tics, we'll never tell what we know!

It has not been the easiest of Falls for Cal Lightman and his lie-finding friends, and it doesn't promise to get any easier tonight in their fall finale. Tonight, an unhappy farmer opts to park his explosive-filled tractor near the Treasury Department. Cal and company get called in to, quite literally, defuse the situation. This sounds like the exact sort of thing that needs to get followed by a nice long recuperation period. As this is the fall finale and the show will be off the air for a little while, that's exactly what Cal is going to get once the hour concludes.
