Last night, CNBC aired part of the 137th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Tonight, USA gets to finish off the show and we all get to learn who wins. Let us ask you, is it the dog who wins or is it the owner? What is a great dog without a great owner, and, conversely, what is a great owner without a great dog? Neither is anything, are they? Well, a great dog is still man's best friend and that's certainly something. And, again, a great owner with a mediocre dog still has a best friend. That fact won't make everyone winners tonight, but it should provide a quantum of solace.
