Peter Funt, son of “Candid Camera” creator and original host Allen Funt, will co-host the 10-episode reboot this summer.

In a Variety profile on her retirement, Walters says, “I don’t feel like I’m being pushed out. This was my decision.” But it wasn’t Hasselbeck or Behar’s decision to leave "The View." “These are not Barbara and Bill’s decisions,” Walters says. “The network is also involved. I think the feeling was if one went, both had to leave. We needed to shake things up.”
