SAN DIEGO - The final Comic-Con panel for FOX's "Fringe" was emotional for the entire cast, with tears coming easily for stars Anna Torv, Jasika Nicole and even Lance Reddick.
In the press room after the panel, Torv was quick to jokingly blame Nicole for her lachrymosity in front of a crowd of 6000 fans.
We also discussed the biggest news to come out of the Comic-Con panel, which was that the fifth and concluding season of "Fringe" will be largely -- never say "entirely" went it comes to time, space or dimensions on "Fringe" -- set in the 2036 future established in the "Letters of Transit" episode from last spring.
That just happens to have been an episode that didn't include Torv. In our conversation, Torv discusses going out of her way to meet her on-screen future-daughter and what she expects the future is going to mean for Olivia.
Stay tuned in the days to come for my "Fringe" Comic-Con interviews with Joshua Jackson, John Noble, Lance Reddick and showrunner J.H. Wyman (somehow I missed Jasika in the press room tumult).
"Fringe" returns to FOX on Friday, September 28.

July 18, 2012 at 9:17AM EST Reply to CommentAnna Torv : Fantastic actress, wonderful woman.
So intelligent and genuine, and awesome acting.
Anna Torv created those beautiful Olivia characters, pilot one was nr 1, and than followed the 2, and so on, so on.
So much more difficult to play Olivia in al her depth constantly and consistently with so little material , than a Walter.
Showy character (and actor)Walter gets the attention, beautiful introveted character Olivia (and actor)gets overlooked, no matter how brilliant the acting.
And now Anna is being asked to play a motherversion of a 25 year old.
That only happens with truly great actors.
Shame on the US critics for not giving her the credit she deserves, see Hitfix folks, from the beginning, and still not now.
Might be the reason she never got an Emmy nomination.
Season 1 and 2 should have gotten her there, season 3 should have been Anna Torv getting the Emmy.
This season:
Anna Torv for an Emmy
Guy Smiley Agreed, but if John Noble can't get a friggin' nomination after four awesome seasons as the many different Walters, I'm not sure if Anna ever will either.

July 18, 2012 at 12:53PM EST Reply to CommentShe said something interesting during a CC interview...something along the lines of had she known it was the real universe in season 4, she would have played Olivia differently. She thought it was a completely different universe. I'll miss the different versions of the characters, especially real and Alt-Olivia.
