Krampus the Christmas demon has become something of a hot commodity as of late, and the piece de resistance of the mini-cinematic trend is shaping up to be "Trick 'r Treat" director Michael Dougherty's "Krampus," a horror-comedy that centers on a snowbound family's fight to the death with the "anti-Claus" and his malevolent minions. Here's the official trailer, which takes the underlying darkness of the holiday season and builds a demonic Jack in the Box out of it (just try and scrub that image from your brain).

Also: Adam Scott and Toni Collette may be the year's most believable movie couple! Let us toast to this.

"Krampus" hits theaters on December 4.
