A new school year has begun, and that means it’s time for new yearbook portraits across the world. Sesame Street is no different.

The furry monsters of the PBS kids’ series went flashback for their photos. Elmo and Cookie Monster posed for some cheesy ’80s-esque portraits, laser background and all.

Meanwhile, Grover’s apparently past his schoolboy days and is now a professor.
