As Terry Jeffords on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Terry Crews is a walking contradiction. He’s powerful and intimidating yet caring and sensitive.

Interestingly, the football player-turned-actor bears some similarities to his onscreen persona. In a 2014 interview with Jimmy Kimmel, Crews said he received an art scholarship to college prior to his football scholarship. He added that to supplement his income while playing pro football, he would paint portraits and sell them to his teammates and other athletes.
