Pee-wee Herman is set for another cross-country journey.  But in the upcoming Netflix movie Pee-wee’s Big Vacation, it seems Pee-wee first needs to be persuaded to leave his small town.

In a new clip from the film, the pencil-necked protagonist confesses to a hulking Joe Manganiello that he’s “never even been on an airplane.”  This causes Manganiello to give Pee Wee (Paul Reubens) some sage-like advice.

“If you’re really hungry, the open road is a smorgasbord of life experience,” Manganiello said. “The way I see it Pee-wee Herman, you got a choice to make, stick around here or live a little.”

This is the first Pee-wee movie Reubens has done since 1988’s Big Top Pee-wee. However he did bring Pee-wee back for a run on Broadway a few years ago and he also played the character in countless television appearances.
The movie premieres on Netflix on March 18. It stars Stephanie Beatriz, Jessica Pohly and Alia Shawkat and was produced by Judd Apatow and Reubens.
