Last Week Tonight with John Oliver has tried very hard to stay ahead of news rather than respond to it, at least when it comes to the show's signature 20-minute investigative pieces. So we got Oliver going in depth on the Brexit on last week's show, which meant Oliver only had to devote a few minutes of last night's opening segment to covering the vote's aftermath. The meat of the episode went instead to another upcoming event: the Rio Olympics, and the myriad doping scandals associated with that mess. Enjoy:
