Don't understand Brexit? Let John Oliver and a barbershop quartet explain
On Thursday, Britain will vote on whether or not to leave the European Union. It's a matter that hasn't received much attention here in the U.S. but, on last night's episode of Last Week Tonight, John Oliver helpfully broke it down — and yep, there's even a song.
During the segment, Oliver noted that the EU is "a complicated, bureaucratic, ambitious, overbearing, inspirational and consistently irritating institution" but, even considering that, believes that Britain would be "absolutely crazy" to leave it. He dives deep into the issue while still throwing plenty of insults at Europe, ultimately culminating in a profane song led by a young boy. You can watch the segment below.
