McShane delivered one of the most effective and powerful speeches in the series' history, before being brutally murdered for his inherent goodness. Because, Thrones.

The Deadwood actor must have inspired his former boss, because iconic TV producer/Deadwood creator David Milch has taken it upon himself to introduce audiences to what they missed by reading the full passage from George R.R. Martin's novel that McShane's indictment of war was based on.
