'Jersey Shore' star Vinny Guadagnino gets his own talk-variety show, yo
Snooki and J-Woww aren't the only ones to get a spin-off

"Jersey Shore" may be in its final season and most of the actual location has been washed away by Superstorm Sandy, but we're not getting rid of the guidos and guidettes quite that easily. MTV today announced that the network has given the greenlight to hybrid talk show/reality series “The Show With Vinny” hosted by cast member Vinny Guadagnino.
There won't be any mistaking this show for a network chat show. It will combine the reality of Guadagnino’s home life with off-the-cuff and unscripted interviews with stars invited over to break bread, “The Show With Vinny” will feature a host of real characters from Guadagnino’s personal life, from his mother Paula to party boss Uncle Nino and more. Celebrities will get to have a meal and a candid conversation with lots of commentary from Vinny’s loved ones. There will be no studio or audience, just lots of awkward moments without a laugh track to save them.
“Vinny's unique mix of humor, intelligence, curiosity and heart make him the perfect choice for this genre busting take on the interview format,” said MTV EVP Chris Linn in a statement that appeared to be entirely serious.
Vinny will also be part of the one-hour fundraising special, “Restore the Shore," which will run live from MTV’s Times Square Studio on Thursday, November 15th at 11:00 p.m. ET.
"The Show with Vinny" is the latest "Jersey Shore" spinoff, joining “The Pauly D Project” and “Snooki & JWOWW,” the latter of which will returns for its second season on Tues. Jan. 8 at 10:00 p.m. ET
