It's a baby design challenge - complete with screaming dolls

Can you believe Ven is gone? I know; it's a huge relief. Anyway, the designers feel the same way, and not just because they were so sick of that fan/flower trick they wanted to yank their own teeth to distract themselves from the searing pain of seeing it over and over and OVER again. But Ven's timely exit has left them a little shaken -- and focused on getting to Lincoln Center. Christopher, however, is feeling confident, having won three challenges. I think Christopher may be getting a little smug, really.

HitFix Interview: Kyle McLachlan talks about playing straight in 'Made in Jersey'

The 'Twin Peaks' star still isn't ruling out a sitcom

If there's one thing you can expect from Kyle McLachlan, it's the unexpected. After establishing himself as a quirky leading man in films like "Blue Velvet," "Dune" and on TV shows like the cult classic "Twin Peaks," McLachlan had of late seemed destined to get into sitcoms with comedic turns in "How I Met Your Mother" and "Portlandia." But he's all business as a buttoned-up lawyer with a blue collar background in "Made in Jersey," premiering Sep. 28 at 9:00 p.m. on CBS.  I talked to him during the recent TCA press tour about his latest role, why he isn't ruling out a sitcom and why his new series had reshoots to up the comedy quotient -- but not from his character.

"Scary Movie 5" doesn't hit theaters until April 19, 2013, but fans of the franchise can get a peek at what's to come from this photo from the film -- and it seems this movie is pulling at least a few stars from the small screen and sending them into battle.

Watch: Elizabeth Banks and Ester Dean talk 'Pitch Perfect'

The two stars struck a common chord with this musical comedy

If "The Sing-Off" didn't sell you on a cappella, "Pitch Perfect" should do the trick. A charming, often screamingly funny mix-up of "Bridesmaids" girl power and "Say Anything" romance, this is the story of a "Bad News Bears"-esque group of girls who try to take their college singing group to the top of the cutthroat world of a cappella. Best of all, there's lots of singing and dancing between the punchlines.

Recap: The first celeb goes home on 'Dancing with the Stars'

It takes two hours to get to the point, but Pitbull and Bieber also perform

So, in two hours one unlucky celebrity and one pro dancer will be going home, kissing the mirror ball and a weekly paycheck good-bye. But how will we ever fill up two whole hours when it only takes about a minute to announce a name? Have no fear, ABC is here! With lots and lots of filler! Plus Pitbull and Justin Bieber, so at least there will be music and possibly dancing.

Amy Adams and Matthew Lillard talk about 'Trouble with the Curve'

Clint may talk to empty chairs, but these stars say he's great on set

While Clint Eastwood may be the biggest star (and the biggest news magnet thanks to his recent speech at the Republican National Convention) of "Trouble with the Curve," his co-stars Amy Adams and Matthew Lillard hold their own in this softhearted drama. As Mickey(the daughter of Eastwood's talent scout Gus Lobel) and scheming corporate villain Phillip, the duo get plenty of screen time with the star, and while both have to be jerks to him on-screen, they have nothing but nice things to say about him off-screen.

'The Bachelor' announces the newest man of (dis)honor

Emily Maynard's favorite reject takes the reigns in January

Another "Bachelorette" reject will get a second chance this January. Sean Lowe, the guy "Bachelorette" Emily Maynard dubbed the "perfect man" before kicking him to the curb, will be the new star of "The Bachelor" when the show returns for its 17th season next year. If you're wondering what kind of crazy he's up against, you can meet the new bachelorettes online, too.

Watch: Things heat up for the season finale of 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo'

A photo shoot melts down and a new baby joins the family

After just ten episodes (I'm guessing even TLC didn't predict the crazy ratings "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" would bring in or the network would have ordered more), the first season of the show will be wrapping up with an hour-long episode on Wed. Sept. 26 at 10:00 p.m. Though things start out with a sweaty, overheated family photo shoot (it was apparently 101 degrees out), that's just the beginning. Later in the episode, Alana gears up for her big pageant, but plans change last-minute when Chickadee goes into labor. Baby Kaitlyn soon makes her appearance, and we're told she makes it clear she's a "very special baby." Draw from that what you will.

HitFix Interview: Carrie-Anne Moss talks 'Vegas' and life post-'Matrix'

The actress says she's ready to dig into her new CBS series

Fans of "The Matrix" trilogy surely remember Carrie-Anne Moss as Trinity, a perpetually black-clad ass-kicker. But after that? Sure, she popped up in "Chocolat" and "Memento," but largely seemed to fall off the pop culture radar. But Moss is back in a big way with "Vegas," the new drama on CBS (premiering Tues. Sept. 25 at 10:00 p.m.). Set in the 1960s, the inspired-by-a-true story series will be focused on mobster Vincent Savino ("The Shield"'s Michael Chiklis) duking it out with an old-school cowboy sheriff, Ralph Lamb (Dennis Quaid). However, there will still be plenty of room for Moss' assistant district attorney Katherine O'Connell, an iconoclast who exists in a time when there weren't many women working, much less as lawyers. I spoke to Moss at the TCA press tour about the show, her recent low-profile (and the reasons for it) and why she won't be taking her three children -- Owen, Jaden and Frances -- to the set anytime soon.

Recap: 'Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars' kicks off with tough judging

The second time around, no one's waltzing to perfect scores right away

We're back with an all-star season of "Dancing with the Stars"! So, it's double-starry, since they were stars to begin with (by the definition of this show and, in some cases, only this show) and now they are all-star stars. I think everyone should get a little star sticker for their forehead, don't you? There isn't a lot of time to dwell on the starriness of the proceedings, though, because thirteen performances must be shoehorned into two hours. Still, that doesn't stop co-host Tom Bergeron. He blithers about how fabulous our dancers are. They’re the best of the best! Creme de la creme! The people you most want to see dancing! Okay, okay, if we're already watching, Tom, there's no further need to sell us. All-stars, got it.
