Fast National ratings for Monday, June 24, 2013.

CBS got a very strong initial sampling for "Under the Dome," while Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals carried NBC to demographic ratings victory on Monday night.

"Under the Dome," adapted from the Stephen King novel, did a 3.2 rating among adults 18-49 and 13.14 million viewers overall. It's the most-watched summer premiere on any network since "The Singing Bee" back in 2007 and CBS' most-watched summer premiere going all the way back to "Big Brother" in 2000 (as a sign of how different the times were then, the first "Big Brother" drew 22.29 million viewers).

"Dome" and comedy repeats were enough to make CBS the most-watched network of the night, with 8.21 million viewers and a 2.1 demo rating. Thanks to the hockey game (and final numbers won't be determined til later in the day, like usual with live sporting events), NBC won the night in the demo (3.1, 7.91 million). ABC was third (1.6, 5.5 million), followed by FOX (0.6, 1.68 million) and the CW (0.2, 690,000).

8 p.m. -- NBC won the hour with hockey, with a 2.4 demo rating and 6.73 million viewers overall. It was followed by "The Bachelorette" on ABC (1.8, 6.21 million), "How I Met Your Mother" and "2 Broke Girls" repeats on CBS (1.3, 4.58 million), a repeat of "Raising Hope" and a new "Goodwin Games" on FOX (0.7, 1.86 million) and a new "Oh Sit!" on the CW (0.3, 1.02 million).

9 p.m. -- The hockey audience rose to a 3.1 demo rating and 7.99 million viewers, followed by more "Bachelorette" (2.0, 6.61 million), "Big Bang Theory" repeats on CBS (1.9, 6.9 million), repeats of "New Girl" and "Anger Management" on FOX (0.6, 1.49 million) and a "Carrie Diaries" repeat on the CW (0.1, 365,000).

10 p.m. -- The hockey game won the hour in the demo, with a 3.6 rating and 9.01 million viewers, but "Under the Dome" had more than 4 million additional viewers. (It also dipped only marginally at the half-hour, from a 3.3 to a 3.1, suggesting most of the people who tuned in liked what they saw.) ABC's "Mistresses" was a distant third (1.1, 3.66 million).
