Maya Rudolph will be glad to know that her warm feelings toward "Way, Way Back" co-star Sam Rockwell are mutual.

"Maya's amazing. She's great, man. She's the best," said Rockwell, speaking to HitFix at the Jim Rash/Nat Faxon-directed comedy's Sundance premiere. "She's a great actress and a great improvisationalist so she can roll with anything."

Rockwell's character in the film (which was acquired by Fox Searchlight on Tuesday for a cool $10 million) is Owen, a water park owner who befriends a teenage boy named Duncan (Liam James) during the latter's summer vacation. The character is also, as the actor notes, a bit of a "rascal."

In addition to Rockwell, we also caught up with his "Way, Way Back" co-stars James and Toni Collette (playing Duncan's mother) on the red carpet. Check out the full interviews above and below.

The 2013 Sundance Film Festival runs through January 27.
