Paul Wesley says he prefers Ripper Stefan in 'Vampire Diaries': Watch
What does he say about rumors that his character is getting a new love interest?
SAN DIEGO -- Paul Wesley likes it when his "Vampire Diaries" character Stefan goes bad. He admits, "I don't know what that says about me as a human being," but Ripper Stefan is a little more fun.
"Tortured Stefan is a lot of work," Wesley told HitFix at Comic-Con this month.
What that means for his relationship to Elena is still up in the air. After all, Stefan is feeling some guilt after last season's brain-bending finale, with Elena becoming a vampire and Stefan failing to prevent as much. What could mix it up further is the prospect of another love interest coming into the picture.
And of course, Wesley's heard that rumor.
Check out what the actor has to say about it and Elena's big change in the video above. Season 4 bows on the CW on Oct. 11.
