New 'Batman v Superman' trailer debuts with more Wonder Woman
For fans champing at the bit about “Batman v Superman,” it’s still going to be another eight months until the movie is out in theaters. But to keep the masses happy in the interim, Warner Bros released a full-length promo for the superhero battle royale.
In the trailer we see Superman (Henry Cavill) called before a congressional committee to explain his actions that wreak havoc and destruction including to the Wayne (as in Bruce Wayne) Tower.
Superman seeks comfort and advice from Martha Kent (Diane Lane) who tells him, “People hate what they don’t understand. Be their hero.” But Wayne (Ben Affleck) isn’t convinced of Superman’s beneficence as he says, “He has the power to wipe out the entire human race. I’m going to have to destroy him.”
Alfred (Jeremy Irons) attempts to help cooler heads prevail as he tells Wayne that Superman “is not our enemy.” But there to stir the pot is Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg).
The film also features Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry/Aquaman and Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman. It’s set for a March 25, 2016 release.
