As our own Louis Virtel pointed out, Madonna's music video for "Living for Love" is her best in years -- and she brought the clip's matador theatrics to the Grammy stage with a showstopping performance of the "Rebel Heart" single.

Showing up at the Staples Center in an outfit that left little to the imagination -- particularly from behind -- Madonna's performance was introduced by younger pop stars Miley Cyrus and Nicki Minaj, two performers who have recently followed in the Material Girl's footsteps with provocative stage performances of their own.

That said, neither can work a room quite the way Madonna can, and she feels creatively reenergized after that rote "MDMA" pom-pom schtick.
