Prince has uploaded new music for his fans to enjoy... or if not him, someone who seems to have remarkable access to his vault.
As Antiquiet first reported, a Twitter account, under the name 3rdEyeGirl, has been providing links to Prince songs. It started with remixes of “Rock N' Roll Love Affair”—a song he released in November— and then one of “Laydown.”
[More after the jump...]
Next came a link to a live version of “Bambi,” a song that first appeared on Prince’s 1979 debut. And now we’re getting “Same Page, Different Book,” a funky, mid-tempo track, with a spoken part in the middle.
No one seems to know what 3rdEyeGirl’s affiliation with Prince is and if these are authorized or not, but there seems to be no rush to take them down.
Maybe it’s just Prince’s way of welcoming us all to 2013.
As we previously noted, Prince will be honored at Carnegie Hall in March.
