The adventures of Harry Potter continue… sort of.  Maybe.

J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter website, Pottermore, has published a new story from Rowling today featuring an adult version of the boy wizard.  She has written it in the voice of gossip columnist Rita Skeeter, and it may just hint that there is more to come.

In the story, which is available to anyone who signs up at the website (it's free), Rowling writes "Potter is sporting a nasty cut over his right cheekbone," a statement soon followed by "Is the Chosen One embroiled in fresh mysteries that will one day explode upon us all, plunging us into a new age of terror and mayhem?"

Fans of the series certainly hope that is the case, but it isn't clear if Rowling is simply winding folks up (as Skeeter would do), or if she may in fact, in reality, be looking at a new story.

Skeeter does state that she has a book coming out at the end of July, "Dumbledore's Army: The Dark Side of the Demob."  Amazon, however, has no pre-order information for the title.

At the very least, the story is an opportunity to revisit old friends and find out what they're doing now.  Virtually half of the tale catches readers up on what the rest of "Dumbledore's Army" has been doing since the novels concluded.

What do you think?  Is there something more (and more in depth) to come?  Do you want more?
