First 'Gotham' set photos show young Bruce Wayne and Catwoman
(CBR) With filming under way on "Gotham," this week we've already seen the first official photo on Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock, as well as the first set photos from the Fox pilot revealing Ben McKenzie as Jim Gordon and Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot. Now we can add to the list the first looks at Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle and David Mazouz as a young Bruce Wayne.
The photos, which arrive courtesy of Mail Online, show the 14-year-old dancer and actress wearing a hooded sweatshirt and black leather jacket, with goggles reminiscent of Darwyn Cooke's Catwoman redesign. Of course, some might also recognize similarities between the rips in her jeans and those on the costume worn by Halle Berry in the universally panned 2004 film.
Snapped Thursday on the pilot's New York City set, the images also capture the 13-year-old Mazouz in young Bruce's private-school uniform, with and without a Batman Halloween mask. The website suggests Selina and Bruce may be friends in "Gotham," which has received a series commitment from the network.
Written and executive produced by Bruno Heller ("The Mentalist," "Rome,") "Gotham" also stars Zabryna Guevara as Captain Essen, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean, Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth, Robin Lord Taylor and Jada Pinkett Smith as Fish Mooney.
