ABC pulls '666 Park Avenue' for 'Happy Endings,' 'Apt. 23'
Supernatural drama's remaining episodes will air in the summer

A month after announcing that "666 Park Avenue" wouldn't get a back-nine order, but would still air the remainder of its episodes, ABC has pulled the supernatural drama from its Sunday schedule.
ABC announced on Friday (December 21) that starting on January 6, the four scheduled "666 Park Avenue" episodes have been pulled and will be replaced with original episodes of "Happy Endings" and "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23."
To date, "666 Park Avenue" has aired nine episodes from the original 13 episode order.
Network sources tell HitFix that the plan is to air the four remaining episodes in the summer.
ABC had previously announced that "Red Widow" will take over the Sunday, 10 p.m. slot starting on March 3.
Slotting "Happy Endings" and "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" on Sundays has two purposes for ABC: First, it gives additional exposure to two shows that have struggled in Tuesday nights in a comedy-heavy time period and, who knows, maybe viewers have been craving Sunday 10 p.m. comedy. In addition, both "Happy Endings" and "Don't Trust the B----" were dropping off of ABC's schedule in mid-March for "Dancing with the Stars," leaving both shows with a number of original episodes unaired. These Sunday airings mean that "Don't Trust the B----" will have aired all available new episodes by mid-March, though "Happy Endings" may still have episodes to air after that.

December 21, 2012 at 6:12PM EST Reply to CommentThere was never any hope for two satellite comedies being tasked to anchor a night. Putting them back on a night when people have another reason to tune in to ABC at least gives them a fight chance to recapture their previous not-a-standalone-hit-but-doing-respectably-as-a-satellite-for-a-show-that-is ratings.
Fantahor ABC sucks 666 was the best new show.

December 21, 2012 at 8:39PM EST Reply to CommentIt's bad enough that they cancelled a great show (666 Park Place) but now ABC cares so little about it's audience that they can't be bothered to air the last 4 episodes until the summer. I will NEVER waste my time on a ABC show again.
CinemaPsycho Yeah, you love this show so much you don't even know what the title is. It's already cancelled. It's not like the show had a future anyway. Do you really think they're going to wrap it up in a way that actually matters? Get some air.
December 22, 2012 at 3:49AM ESTWes Absolutely agree Jen. ABC already had one strike with me for canceling The River. This is it for me. And for what? To replace it with yet more of these neverending comedies that are on every channel every night. TV has become sitcoms and CSI type cop shows, thats it. ABC just took away whatever little alternative the rest of us had. There wasn't much else on TV like 666 Park Ave. I literally took ABC off my guide today. Its not allowed to be watched in this house anymore. No use in rewarding such a pitiful network, one that I hardly watched as it was!
January 2, 2013 at 3:57PM ESTjen If networks want us to try new shows be nice enough to wrap them up when you cancel them (666 park ave) etc etc

December 21, 2012 at 10:14PM EST Reply to CommentThis may also help because Happy is on Sunday nights in Canada and Apt 23 is on Mondays so now I'll actually have to watch ABC instead of using the internet to watch them 2 days early.

December 23, 2012 at 6:33PM EST Reply to Commentreally doesn't matter. i watched 666 park ave since it first aired and it really didnt catch my attention. But what i do want to say that i think thats its horrible that they are cutting the season up like that instead of just finishing the story outright. just end the season right and just be done with it period its not like it doesnt have a time slot anyway. But thats what abc get for hiring the chick for Shutter, she was annoying in that movie and annoy in this sitcom... HENNRRRYYYYYY!!!!

December 27, 2012 at 12:36AM EST Reply to CommentWhy give RED WIDOW a chance? You know ABC will betray you like they did with 666 PARK AVENUE and THE NINE a few seasons ago. Boycott ABC new shows!!!!!

December 27, 2012 at 12:39AM EST Reply to CommentDon't watch any more new shows from ABC. They get you hooked and betray you by yanking it off the air, like 666 PARK AVENUE (a great new series.) They did it past seasons with THE NINE, DIRTY SEXY MONEY, ELI STONE and PUSHING DAISIES. Don't watch any more new series from ABC until they respect their audiences.
abc cancels good shows after 1-2seasons and airs trash for over 9 i totally agree I loved DSM and 666PA and the morons at abc scrapped them to put more trash on, really disappointed and don't want to give them any more chances to fuck us over again

January 7, 2013 at 7:21PM EST Reply to CommentABC made a poor decision. At least 666 challenged one's thinking. I think we are being held hostage to the craziness is demoralizing sexual foolishness. What a shame-cancelling 666 for some nitwit, inane, mess like Apt 23 & Happy endings.

January 7, 2013 at 7:24PM EST Reply to CommentABC made a foolish mistake in cancelling 666. At least the show challenged us to think (but most Americans find that hard to do nowadays because of the inane and foolish shows like Apt 23 and Happy Endings). No wonder we have lost our international rankings in almost every area we can think of.
Naz Why can't they just cancel the hideous show "the neighbors" I mean is this what America loves that it got renewed for another season?? Like r u for real?

Is there any other way to show our disapointment besides taking ABC of my list???
