February 25, 2013 at 6:50AM EST Reply to CommentThe Winners of the most esteemed trophies were obvious - Daniel Day-Lewis, Argo, Jennifer Lawrence, Anne Hathaway and Christopher Waltz, or so I thought. Though maybe not as obvious, I was not surprised that Tarantino won for best original screenplay and Lee for best director, though it could have been others. But, I guess surprise really isn't the point. I missed the opening bit, which is all I ever want to watch - I still can't stand the mindless banter and endless thank you speeches - please, please, please stop with them.
