Elton John and Leon Russell - The Union

Elton John ad Leon Russell's collaborative album The Union is out this week. Produced by T. Bone Burnett, The Union is the first new material from either Leon Russel or Elton John since 2006. Although Sir Elton is by far the better known, Russell is also a singer and pianist who at one point was a bigger star than John and before his solo career was heard on most of Phil Spector's legendary wall of sound hits of the sixties. The Union is Elton John's thirtieth studio LP.

Heavy hitting guest stars include Brian Wilson, Don Was, Booker T. (of the MG's), and  Neil Young.
