Johnny Cash – American VI: Ain’t No Grave

Johnny Cash died in 2003, but that hasn't stopped the American Recording series from rolling. This, sixth, installment -- released on what would have been the Man in Black's 78th birthday -- is culled from among the last recordings Cash made, shortly before his death. Mostly covers of country and contemporary pop songs, there is one Cash original "1 Corinthians 15:55", a previously unheard number based around the titular verse from the bible; "Where, O death, is thy victory? Where, O death, is thy sting?" Appropriate.
