A Thousand Suns is the fourth studio album from nu metal originals Linkin Park. The band are fond of EPs and live albums, so that body count reads a little low against their actual recorded output. A Thousand Suns is the third co-production job between singer Mike Shinoda and revered Def Jam founder (and Johnny Cash collaborator) Rick Rubin. The pair last worked together back in 2007, on A Thousand Suns' predecessor Minutes to Midnight. In August the single "The Catalyst" served as a teaser for the new record.
