We don't think it is really giving anything away to state that the 2012 DNC will close tonight with a rousing speech by our current President, Barack Obama, who is running for reelection against the Republican challenger, Mitt Romney.  The election is, at this point, just about two months away and both men will be running full tilt from now until then.

ABC and CBS plan to broadcast from the convention starting at 10pm eastern, and NBC at 9pm eastern.

Tonight, as you might expect, will be full of speechifying.  That isn't a bad thing necessarily, it's just a plain old fact (and the same was true of the RNC).  Tomorrow night, President Obama will give his acceptance speech, but tonight we will hear from various people in the DNC about why exactly it is that we should be voting for President Obama come the fall and why we should support other members of the Democratic party.

ABC, CBS, and NBC all plan to broadcast from the convention starting at 10pm eastern.
