'The Tribe' has been a major hit at every film festival it's played this year, and with good reason. It's a bold and striking story of love and violence, told entirely through sign language, and while it should be a hard sell for distributor Drafthouse Films, it's a worthwhile difficulty.

Richard Ayoade made a strong feature debut with 'Submarine,' and while his new film 'The Double' is perhaps too in love with Gilliam's 'Brazil,' it makes intriguing use of Jesse Eisenberg in a dual role and a somber but playful Mia Wasikowska.
