The producers of "300" head back into ancient Greece, this time with more of a focus on mythology. When the ageless titan Hyperion seeks justice against the Olympian gods for ostracizing him and his kind in a bygone era, he declares war on the gods' favorite pets: Humans! Zeus chooses the half-god/half-mortal Theseus to lead the defense against the ancient titans. And everyone goes shirtless, just like in "300."

B+Ben Wheatley's adaptation of J.B. Ballard's 'unfilmable' novel is largely successful, although it's going to be a tough sit for many audiences, and Tom Hiddleston's lead performance is one of the reasons the film delivers on its warped central vision.
