The Online Film Critics have jumped on the increasingly-strong "Argo" bandwagon and handed the film its Best Picture prize for 2012. Paul Thomas Anderson nabbed Best Director after his film, "The Master," led the way with nominations. Philip Seymour Hoffman was also recognized for his work in the film. Daniel Day-Lewis and Jessica Chastain won top acting honors and Anne Hathaway picked up yet another prize for her performance in "Les Misérables." Check out the full list of winners below and keep track of it all at The Circuit.

Argo is one of my absolute favorite movies of the year and I'll be delighted if it wins Best Picture. All these critics wins seem kind of odd, nonetheless. Did the torture thing hurt ZDT, and critics decided not to look back and reward The Master? Argo just seems out of nowhere...

Just here to say a formal thanks to you and Guy for all the work you do to keep us updated during awards season. Y'all never cease to amaze. This has been my go-to site for a few years now, and I seriously don't know what I would do without you.

I'm good with these awards, and especially happy for The Master wins, but I still don't know how I feel about Argo leading the pack to Oscar. It was a solid, entertaining film, but I just didn't feel the the same love I did for some of the other contenders as I walked out of the theater with the work fresh in my mind. And thinking back on it, it feels like an old romance that no longer gets you in the nethers. There were some memorable moments and it was good while it lasted, but it wasn't The One.

Interesting to see PSH doing so well in the precursors considering The Master's unfortunate sidelining. I wonder if he can go all the way with Oscar #2?

/3rt His biggest competition is Tommy Lee Jones. I feel Jones has the edge since Actor in a Supporting Role is an old man's category and there'll be an urge to put him in Michael Caine territory. Hoffman has a Actor statuette and he's still young enough to garner nominations in Actor and pick-up a second one there down the road. He's one nomination shy of a full five.

rerun Doesn't Jones also have a statue? I don't think they'll feel the need to reward him with two.

JLPatt It's been 18 years since he last won. I don't think voters are sitting around going... "I think he gave the best supporting male performance of the year, but I don't know, he won 18 years ago."

Silly. Besides Hoffman isn't even a supporting actor so that's a strike against him.

m1 It's not that interesting. The moment the Django people started cancelling each other out in the same category I knew Hoffman would come close to winning this.

This is Argo's 8th win? I have Southeastern, Florida, St. Louis, Nevada, Oklahoma, Houston, and Online. Which one am I missing?

And Skyfall keeps picking up the Cinematography awards. Feeling hopeful on that score.
