CBS debuted the logo for their brand-new Star Trek series from Hannibal's Bryan Fuller at their upfront presentation yesterday. Unfortunately, the teaser they showed didn't amount to much. Or did it?

Fuller was hired as showrunner for the revamped series back in February but besides a vague "it will exist outside current mythology," we don't know a lot about the new show.

Longtime Trek collaborator Nicholas Meyer will be in the writer's room and Gene Roddenberry’s son Eugene Roddenberry and Trevor Roth are executive producing but there's been absolutely no casting news at all.

Which is probably why, unlike other shows CBS recently picked up, Star Trek (so far with no subtitle) has no actual footage in their teaser.

A lot of nerds have noted similarities between this and Doctor Who's Season 7B intro but even bigger nerds have responded to Fuller's tweet suggesting there were actually Easter Eggs in the teaser saying they've indeed found some.

While Star Trek fans, myself included, still have many questions about how this CBS All Access thing will shake out, you can't help but get a little excited when you hear the classic theme. CBS All Access costs $5.99 a month and the network plans to roll out the episodes weekly when it debuts so no binging unless you're willing to hold off.
