While "Legends of Tomorrow" was announced earlier this year at CW Upfronts, a full cast list and premiere date were only recently confirmed. Part of the waiting had to do with setting up certain character story lines on "The Flash". For instance, even though Dr. Martin Stein (Victor Garber) was the only member of Firestorm on the roof in the initial "Legends" trailer, now we know that his new Firestorm counterpart, Jay Jackson (Franz Drameh), will be joining "Legends" as well. We already knew Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) would be back, as well as Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh), and both of those character's resurrections were featured on recent episodes of "Arrow". Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee) will also be joined by her counterpart, Hawkman (Falk Hentschel), now that he was introduced in the recent "Flash"/"Arrow" crossover episodes.
“DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW - When heroes alone are not enough…the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?”
DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW stars Victor Garber (The Flash, Alias) as Dr. Martin Stein; Brandon Routh (Arrow, Superman Returns) as Ray Palmer/The Atom; Arthur Darvill (Doctor Who) as Rip Hunter; Caity Lotz (Arrow) as Sara Lance/White Canary; Ciarra Renee (Pippin) as Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl; Franz Drameh (Edge of Tomorrow) as Jay Jackson; with Dominic Purcell (The Flash, Prison Break) as Mick Rory/Heat Wave; and Wentworth Miller (The Flash, Prison Break) as Leonard Snart/Captain Cold. Based on the characters from DC Comics, DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television.”
"Legends of Tomorrow" premieres Thursday January 21 at 8/9C on The CW.
