Why: No, it didn't match the success of any of Sam Raimi's films, but in Sony PIctures' eyes they have a "Batman Begins" scenario on their hands. A solid debut for a new incarnation of the Web Slinger that thanks to the love from the under 25 set should do even better the second time around.
