Julie Newmar and Michelle Pfeiffer both gave memorable performances as the feline anti-hero, and the talented Anne Hathaway seems primed to contribute yet another iconic interpretation. Based on the trailers, her performance as Catwoman (a.k.a. Selina Kyle) appears to be a more "grounded" take on the character than we've seen before, which fits well with the relatively cool-headed approach Nolan has taken toward the storied franchise. With an Oscar nomination and several potent screen performances under her belt, there's little doubt Hathaway is capable of delivering a new and exciting portrayal of the celebrated femme fatale.
