Eliminations come in groups
The kids aren't spared honesty and they aren't spared elimination, either. It is, after all, a competition. However, the kids aren't singled out as individual losers. Instead, the show eliminates them in groups. Although the show doesn't follow them after they've been eliminated, it must be helpful and comforting for the eliminated contestants to be with others who are going through the same thing. They're also allowed to keep their aprons, a souvenir of their experience.
