Best known for: "Battlestar Galactica"
Why they'd make a great Captain Marvel: Other than a desire to bring in a recognizable movie star — and "Guardians of the Galaxy" did just fine with that doofus from "Parks and Recreation" in the lead role — Sackhoff checks off virtually every box you'd want for someone to play Carol Danvers. As Starbuck on the "BSG" remake, she convincingly played a badass military pilot, stepped seamlessly into a role originally written for a man (just as Carol is now using the codename of her old friend Mar-Vell), oozed charisma, and made absurd concepts seem deadly serious. The job will almost certainly go to someone more famous, but if Marvel doesn't at least take a meeting with Sackhoff, they have screwed this thing up.
