Far East Movement has been trying hard to make mainstream pop hits out of hip-hop and party records (see Peas, Black Eyed), and they had their first booming success with "Like a G6." Interscope is going to be very interested in getting the band and their next joint, "If I Was You (OMG)," into rotation, which comes after "Rocketeer," on the radio and into arenas. FM already opened up for labelmate Lady Gaga overseas, which could have primed them for the U.S. national stage and, aside from six dates in the U.K. in July, their calendars are open.
