Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds
This is a huge stretch, but trust me it's been discussed in the Academy offices. No one doubts the longtime buddies have tremendous chemistry together (see Bullock's comeback hit "The Proposal") and with an Oscar under her belt one of America's Sweethearts wouldn't have to worry about a weak show tarnishing her legacy (not that we can ever see that happening). Moreover, Reynolds could use the good karma from a well received Oscar show. "Safe House" success aside, Reynolds hasn't been the same since "Green Lantern" flopped and has been almost MIA ever since. But the two of these pros bantering back and forth for three hours? A ratings goldmine.
