Best known for: "300," "Watchmen"
Pros: Has huge fanboy credentials, a keen visual sense and is very well known to Warner Bros.
Cons: "Watchmen" disappointed many and the animated "Legend of the Guardians" is pretty close to being categorized as a bomb.  And "Sucker Punch"?  The jury is way out on that one.  Is he still in WB's good graces?  Also, hard to see him shooting another director's initial vision at this stage in his career.
Chances:  Could "Superman" be Snyder's payback to WB for his creative indulgences on "Guardians" and "Sucker Punch"?
