Music cred: One of the greatest hip-hop artists of all-time with three no. 1 albums, with 7 top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100. Oh, and that doesn't even count the singles he guest appeared on including the massive Katy Perry hit "California Girls."

Why he would be good: Snoop has years of experience on TV and in the movies. In fact, you can argue he's diminished his music creeds because he's appeared almost everywhere.  But, he's comfortable in front of a camera and knows how to work a crowd. He might not be as blunt as Cowell, but he'll be critical. His rep means too much to him not to be.

Why he could suck: Can he handle mentoring non-hip-hop or pop artists?  Would his heart be in it? This format and series seems like it would be something that would bore him easily.  Especially if there were no legit artists in the competition.  Oh, and he has had lots of legal troubles over the past 20 years so you never know when he's gonna get caught with a doobie.

Chances: Seemingly good.  We can't imagine him turning the opportunity down (he turns down little it seems), but the question is whether Cowell or FOX would take the chance on a wildcard like Snoop.  But boy would it shake things up. - Gregory Ellwood
