Who should be the new 'X-Factor' judge (or judges)?

After "X-Factor" ended its first season in America with lower than expected ratings most expected that series head honcho and top judge Simon Cowell would make some changes.  Season two won't begin auditions for at least another five months, but Cowell is already shaking things up.  Not only has he sacked host Steve Jones, but judge Nicole Scherzinger was also just shown the door.  There are reports that Cowell's old pal Paula Abdul is also out, but until that's confirmed we only have one slot open.  Who should replace the former Pussycat Doll? HitFix's editorial team reviews some of the already buzzed about candidates as well as some longshots who shouldn't be ignored.

Who do you think should join the "X-Factor" judging panel?  Share your thoughts below and rate your favorite contestant.

Over/under on Snoop's "know what I'm sayin" per episode would be?

Don't like any of these suggestions much, in fact I strongly dislike almost all of them for this show, other than Cole, Snoop, & Estefan.

    My suggestions:
    Billy Idol
    Sheila E
    Jim Gaffigan
    Albert Brooks
    Roseanne Barr
    Trace Adkins
    Charles Barkley
    Triumph
    Marie Osmond
    DL Hughley
    Lisa Lampanelli
    Steve Perry
    Bette Midler

Richard No way you're a day under 50 with Sheila E, Albert Brooks and Marie Osmond on the list.

Go with Toni Braxton or Whitney Houston. Both have serious street cred when it comes to singing. Whitney would be the better of the two since you can't go one season on any talent show without some female attempting one or more of her songs.

"X Factor", unlike "American Idol", is not about singing, it's about the "performance." There is only one person I can think of that specializes in the particular skill of fashioning mediocre talent into sold out stadium spectacle and that person is Madonna.

If they are serious about a relaunch, they should just drive out a truck full of money and hire her for a single season. Great cross promotion for her new music and it would be fun to watch because that woman has never been afraid to speak her mind.
