Cannes Film Festival 2013

Which stars got suckered into presenting at the 84th Academy Awards?

What do Muppets, Bridesmaids and Tom Hanks have in common?

Halle Berry

What she's shilling: The upcoming shark thriller "Dark Tide" co-starring Olivier Martinez, which premieres on VOD March 8th. Ouch.

Nominations and wins: Berry won Best Actress in 2002 for her searing turn as a grieving mother in "Monster's Ball".

Lowdown: It's been ten years since Berry took home the gold, and her career hasn't exactly been on fire since. With dreck like "Catwoman" and "Perfect Stranger" stinking up multiplexes over the last several years and awards-baity dramas like "Things We Lost in the Fire" and "Frankie & Alice" failing to gain much traction, gracing the Oscar stage may just jog the memories of those in the audience who'd forgotten why she became an A-lister in the first place. In any event, the actress remains a major sex symbol at the age of 45 - i.e. she still feels relevant, even if her career doesn't.
