Which 'Star Wars' characters would you like to see get their own spin-off film?
Boba Fett
Who: Boba Fett
From: 'The Empire Strikes Back'
What we would like to see: Boba Fett remains a fan favorite after all this time because of what an iconic, striking figure he cuts, not because of anything in particular that he does in the two movies where he actually appears as a grown-up. He was beloved the moment he was first glimpsed in the 'Star Wars Holiday Special,' so why not finally let Joe Johnston make the adventure film he wants to make, with no connection to the main events of the saga? It would be great to see Boba hunting down a particularly difficult bounty, something more akin to a Leone western than a typical 'Star Wars' film.

November 25, 2012 at 3:03AM ESTBryan Can't tell if serious but there was only one wookie with a noted speech impediment that made him sound more like English than the others. Ralrracheen. That's why he was the embassador.

November 13, 2012 at 9:32PM EST Reply to CommentThis is a very easy answer for me I would like to see the sith and sith lords spin off movie and see how some of them become just as powerful as the Jedi.
Don Romero Darth Maul.. the story of how such a powerful warrior finds the dark side to eventually become the most trusted, humble and dedicated aide of the most powerful Sith Lord in the Universe.

November 22, 2012 at 11:39AM EST Reply to CommentOnly two I'm interested in would be Boba and Han. But, who would be cast as Han Solo? Brendan Fraser, Damon, Depp? Nobody could match Ford.
James Joseph Gordon-Levitt would be better than any of those.
November 24, 2012 at 12:10AM ESTJordan Why, Nathan Fillion of course.
November 25, 2012 at 4:32PM ESTcbrown85 Brendan Fraser?? Thank God you're not in the film industry. I can't believe this guy said Brendan Fraser.
November 30, 2012 at 10:44PM ESTBird Brendan Fraser? I wouldn't cast that guy to act in a porno.
December 1, 2012 at 1:13AM ESTBryan 2nd for Nathan Fillion. Born to be Han. See firefly for reference.

November 23, 2012 at 1:11PM EST Reply to CommentThe only good ideas in this list are Boba and Han. The avante-garde Wookie thing has already been done in the Holiday Special. Also, when Yoda turned "badass" in the prequels it was like watching some stupid kid play Sonic the Hedgehog. Super lame.

November 24, 2012 at 4:05PM EST Reply to CommentBoba is over-rated, no interest. But I could definitely get behind seeing the backstory of some of the more interesting Sith. The Jedi are too insufferably do-goody. I'd like to see some more Sith justice. I mean Vader and Tarkin destroy a planet--to make an example out of it--in the first movie and they don't bat an eye.
In the same vein, I wouldn't mind a Han prequel, or maybe more about how Jabba got to be so feared.

November 25, 2012 at 3:06AM EST Reply to CommentOnly C-3PO's mind was wiped, R2-D2's was not. Plus, the reason they are on the Tantive IV is because they are given to Captain Antilles at the end of Episode III.

November 25, 2012 at 7:30AM EST Reply to CommentWhen I first saw Episode III, I was disappointed Han Solo didn't appear. Ever since, I've thought they should do a Han Solo origin story where they show how he became a smuggler, met Chewbacca, and won the Millenium Falcon from Lando.
Bryan He would have been like 7 years old.

November 30, 2012 at 10:48PM EST Reply to CommentI do not get the Boba Fett craze. His dad had one scene where he held his ground against Obi Wan, then got his head chopped off. And then there is Boba. What does he do in any of episode 5 or 6? Someone please explain. Darth Vader catches Han and Boba happened to be there. And then he gets killed immediately in Ep. 6. Most overrated film character of all time. If they do anything it should be about Darth Vader's apprentice.
Bryan Read the star wars: bounty hunter trilogy. Came out well before ep2's ridiculousness.

December 2, 2012 at 1:06AM EST Reply to CommentA movie featuring just Wookies has already been made. Its called the Star Wars Holiday Special. It certainly was not even close to decent, but definitely worth the watch for any fan of Star Wars.. or horrible movies.

December 2, 2012 at 3:23AM EST Reply to CommentNo General Greivous ,Darth Maul, and no Mace Windu who could kill everyone on your list other than yoda...Nice job star wars "fan".
helbo C'mon, all these are lame characters from the prequels. Darth Maul was just a nicely painted face and a double-sided lightsaber. Mace Wandu was a piece of cardboard that people seem to think he kicks ass because he is played by Samuel L. Jackson who is only cool because of his role in Pulp Fiction.
December 3, 2012 at 1:18PM ESTWindu No actually if you saw the animated clone wars it shows how much of a bad ass windu was he took out armies of clones out by himself and was only killed by anakin with a cheap shot.Id love to see you take on 2 jedis btw and live if they were real...Obviously you dont know anything about star wars and what your talking about but whatever.Darth Maul took on 2 jedis at the same time and almost killed both of them.To even become a Jedi was a huge feat that most people couldn't even achieve but I'm not gonna argue with someone who doesn't even watch star wars and know what he is talking about.chow
December 3, 2012 at 3:35PM ESTHelbo Oh man... one man taking out armies, huh? To me that sounds quite silly and quite boring. Where is the tension in watching a near invincible persona single-handedly take out armies? You can have the "I know more about SW than you" award. Doesnt matter to me. I saw the original in the theatre and just want decent and mature followups to the films I grew up with. Regarding me taking on Jedi? HAHAHAHA!!!!

December 3, 2012 at 4:09PM EST Reply to CommentYou are aware that Boba Fett survived in the Sarlacc pit, right? And please, any other character than Boba Fett. He is cool and all, but to me not a very interesting character since there are so many spin-offs w/ him already (not in movies, sure). Would way rather want to see Luke forming his academy.

December 4, 2012 at 10:43AM EST Reply to CommentStar Wars has a big enough universe and a big enough budget(di$ney)to do a CABLE mini-series or series much like the twilight zone or outer limits of All these stories except the god-awful lame ones. Hire the best writers and directors to bring to life everything the fans really want. Cool Spin offs and semi prequels. each week different 1 hour stories and one main story arch to tie them together. One season would lead to a 5 year run.

December 5, 2012 at 2:06AM EST Reply to CommentThe Han Solo trilogy was really good. it had bobo fett and the rise of jaba to power in it. Best of all, it describes how han won the milinium falcon from lando and the modifications he made to the ship by scraping empirial cruisers.
Bryan Yep. Would make a great 1 or 2 part movie.
