“DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” (premieres January 21, 2016)
The CW is expanding its line-up of DC Comics-based series. With characters already introduced to TV viewers in a “Flash”-“Arrow” crossover event last month, “Legends of Tomorrow” has time traveler Rip Hunter assembling a team of both heroes and villains to prevent a future Rip sees happen: the immortal villain Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) on the verge of his final victory — total chaos and the utter destruction of humanity in the year 2166. Playing Rip is none other than Arthur Darvill, who, as “Doctor Who” fans know, has plenty of experience with time travel TV.
