Despite their distinctive, similar voices, Tegan and Sara should no longer be considered "niche." The acoustic guitar vibe was ditched years ago, in favor of danceable, emotional forward-thinking pop tunes. It had better not be the fact that they come packaged as a duo (as opposed to solo) that has kept them from the top 40 thus far.
