Congrats to "Manhattan Love Story," which earned the title of The First Network TV Cancellation of the 2014-2015 season, but also won the equally coveted title of Not ABC's Worst New 2014 Comedy About Largely Unlikable People Trying To Get Laid. It helps that "Manhattan Love Story" featured the always-welcome Kurt Fuller and that leading lady Analeigh Tipton was at least winsome and sympathetic, but honestly this was just a show that never should have survived the development process in this form. The core conceit -- We can hear what a man and a woman are thinking as they embark on a new relationship -- may not have been awful, but once the writers introduced the concept with "Women think of purses and men think of boobs," somebody needed to scrap the whole thing and start over. It didn't help that Jake McDorman's Peter was presented in the least likable way possible, forcing the writers to spend each week defanging him, rather than making him interesting.
